Overview

ContextForge is an AI-powered Claude Code session optimizer that eliminates the first 15 minutes of wasted context-building by pre-loading all relevant project intelligence before you start coding. It automatically aggregates Linear tickets, GitHub history, Sentry errors, and codebase patterns into a focused session brief and task-specific CLAUDE.md addendum, so Claude walks in already knowing the plan, constraints, and success criteria.

How It Works

1. Fetch Active Linear Ticket — Retrieves the target Linear issue (e.g., ENG-123) including description, acceptance criteria, state, assignee, labels, and linked issues.
2. Fetch Linked Linear Issues — Pulls any blocking or dependent issues to reveal the full dependency chain and context.
3. Find Related GitHub Pull Requests — Searches the repository for open PRs touching the same files or components, exposing recent changes and active work.
4. Find Related GitHub Issues — Locates prior bug reports, feature discussions, and closed issues related to the feature area.
5. Fetch Related Sentry Errors — Checks for active error groups in the module being changed, surfacing production issues and error patterns.
6. Generate Session Brief & CLAUDE.md Addendum — Uses Claude Opus to synthesize all gathered data into two outputs: (1) a 200-word Session Opening Prompt with task goal, acceptance criteria, relevant files, and suggested approach; (2) a task-specific CLAUDE.md addendum listing in-scope files, off-limits zones, success criteria, and codebase patterns to follow.
7. Create Session Document — Generates a new Google Doc titled 'Claude Code Session — [Ticket ID] — [Date]' in your Drive.
8. Append Brief & Addendum — Inserts the session prompt and CLAUDE.md addendum into the document with clear copy-paste formatting.
