This AI-powered email triage agent identifies critical messages from current customers, urgent requests, and threaded conversations, then surfaces the top 5 flagged emails with actionable summaries—saving time on manual inbox review and ensuring no critical message is missed.

How It Works

1. Scan recent messages — Search Gmail for all new messages received in the last 24 hours using advanced Gmail query syntax to isolate recent inbox activity.
2. Cross-reference HubSpot contacts — Query HubSpot by email address to identify which messages originate from current customers, automatically flagging customer correspondence.
3. Detect urgent keywords — Use OpenAI's GPT-5.4 model to scan message content for critical keywords such as 'urgent', 'deadline', 'bug', and 'down', classifying messages by priority and severity.
4. Identify threaded replies — Fetch complete Gmail thread history to locate any replies to conversations you initiated within the current week.
5. Generate digest summary — Leverage OpenAI to rank and summarize the top 5 flagged messages into a concise format with sender, one-line summary, and direct Gmail links.
6. Send Slack notification — Post a single consolidated Slack DM containing the top 5 prioritized messages plus a count of remaining flagged emails.
7. Apply Gmail actions — Automatically star flagged messages in Gmail and mark remaining messages as read to maintain inbox clarity.
